I am not a woman who wears a full face of makeup/full glam every day. It’s because I personally don’t like the feeling of wearing full coverage products, foundations, as well as layers of liquid, cream and powder products every day of the week. Another reason is that I just didn’t have the time to apply a full face, because I didn’t wake up early enough before I had to leave for work.
However, I do take the time to dot and blend a little concealer on my face most days before I leave the house.
Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
These are the concealers that I swear by for my under eye area and to cover up any undesirable spots or discolouration. As I mentioned earlier, I don’t like tinted moisturisers, BB/CC creams, or foundations for every-day wear, so I pretty much only use these two products as my base.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Biscuit – Medium dark natural balance of pink and yellow undertones
Medium-Full coverage concealer. This is a phenomenal concealer and it looks amazing on the skin all day and night. Such a great liquid concealer with a great doe foot applicator. This is so easy to blend and easy to wear. This covers up dark circles and redness, whilst brightening the eye area. This is creamy as the name states, and very pigmented so you will get a good amount of coverage. I use my fingers to apply this and it worked best for me. I just make a few tiny dots under my eyes and this is more than enough to cover the area. A little goes a long way if you’re using your fingers, rather than a beauty blender or brushes that may pick up more product. It’s all a matter of preference. This concealer has more of a matte finish. This range has 22 shades.
Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer in Tan
Light-medium coverage concealer that works amazingly for the delicate skin under eyes. It is water-rich and has colour-adaptive pigments which give a gorgeous ‘soft focus’ finish and brightens under the eyes. This is great for dry skin, because it doesn’t look cakey and won’t dry your eyes out further. The Aqua Luminous Concealer is incredible for the under eye area and priming the eyes for eyeshadow. This formula melts into your skin nicely and seems to match your skin tone even better over the duration of the day. This also has a sponge-tip doe foot applicator, which is a bit flatter and wider than other doe foot applicators.
Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer Doe Foot Applicator
Becca Aqua Luminous is a little more watery than other concealers I’ve tried, making it superb for applying and blending. This is amazing for more natural ‘no makeup’ makeup looks and for the beach or the gym. It’s so easy to apply and blend and it has a satin finish. However, this range has only 9 shades.
Swatches:
I know these colours appear as though they are both very different and this is because they are! I have more than one skin tone going on with my face at any given time. I have a predominantly warm undertone, but sometimes I will match with neutral tones in foundation or concealer shades. These two shades are a match to my depth and they blend out nicely and work well with my skin.
Mixing these two looks like this:
